Melody makes her house debut at the Lyric Opera of Kansas City this spring in one of her signature roles, the title heroine in Puccini’s romantic tragedy Tosca. Ms. Moore has previously performed the role to great acclaim, in an “ideal” and “convincing” portrayal at the San Francisco Opera in 2012, and one that “delivers on all the hype” at Madison Opera in 2013.

The cast also features James Valenti as Mario Cavaradossi and Gordon Hawkins as Baron Scarpia, in a new production directed by Garnett Bruce, with Ward Holmquist leading the orchestra and chorus. Performances take place April 18, 22, 24 & 26 at the spectacular Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
